APPLICATION FOR BALLOT BY MAIL IN THE CITY ELECTION
If you wish to receive a ballot by mail for the City of Coleman Election to be held Saturday, May 9, 2009 please contact Sue Burleson, City Secretary, 625-4116 from 8-5 p.m. Monday-Friday.
You may qualify to receive a ballot by mail if you meet the one of the following criteria:
- 65 years of age or older
- Disability
- Confinement in Jail
- Expected Absence from the City
In order to qualify as expected absence from the city (above item #4) you must expect to be absent from the city on election day and during the period of early voting by personal appearance or for the remainder of the period after you submit your application. YOUR BALLOT MUST BE MAILED TO AN ADDRESS OUTSIDE THE CITY.

City Council Race
This morning (Friday, February 13, 2009) at 8:15 a.m. a former City employee, Mike Gray, became a candidate for the West Ward Council race.
He will be vying against incumbent Councilman Harold Skelton in the May election.

CITY OF COLEMAN
Election Judges for the upcoming City of Coleman May 9, 2009 Election were appointed in the City Council meeting Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009.
Sue Burleson, City Secretary, will serve as Early Voting Judge for the citizens choosing to vote in the Early Election which begins Mon., April 27 and goes thru Tues., May 5, 2009.
Kermit Sorrells will serve as Election Day Judge and Ronnie Busby as Alternate Judge for May 9, 2009 Election Day.
