Hoot Barker - New Police Officer
Hoot Barker, 56 years old, became the newest member of the Coleman Police Department on Monday, September 26th. Hoot and his wife Sharan own the Coleman Flower Shop at 219 S. Commercial Ave. Hoot has been a law enforcement officer since 1993, and his last job was as Chief of Police for Reno, Texas. Hoot has a Bachelors Degree from Wayland Baptist University, and has a Master Peace Officer Certificate issued by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education. Hoot and his wife Sharan moved to Coleman in April of 2011, and are enjoying living in Coleman and look forward to continuing to make Coleman their home. Hoot has joined the Noon Lions Club, Coleman Business Peoples Organization, and is a Manson.
