The City of Coleman Convenience Center is located on Highway 84 North, adjacent to the Type IV Landfill. It is open on Saturdays only from 9am to 12pm and 1pm to 4pm. The Center is open to both city and county residents. Hunters are also welcome.
The Center accepts solid waste under the following restrictions:
ITEMS THAT ARE ACCEPTED AT THE CENTER:
- Residential/household garbage
- Furniture
- Metal that can be loaded/unloaded by hand
- Refrigerators, mowers, air conditioners that have had all fluids removed and have been properly tagged by a licensed repairman.
- Miscellaneous lumber/building material items from a residence (debris from small renovation projects being performed by the property owner).
- Wood fencing
ITEMS THAT MAY NOT BE ACCEPTED AT THE CENTER:
- Tires (unless disposal fee is paid……see below)
- Batteries
- Paint
- Oil or oil filters (but can be disposed of at the oil recycling center located in the City's yard in the alley directly behind Saverance Body Shop, 214 W. Liveoak St.)
- Household Hazardous Materials or Medical Waste
- Any other materials that are considered Hazardous
- Any materials from Contractors
- Dead Animals
RATE SCHEDULE
GATE FEE: Starting July 1, 2008, there will be a Gate Fee of $5.00 per vehicle. A customer may return, with additional loads on the same day only, without paying additional gate fees.

(Height limit on these loads is 4 feet). Loads exceeding 4' will be subject to additional fees at $3.00 per cubic yard.
TIRES: Tires are accepted on restricted bases only/ (No tires over 24" and no heavy truck or tractor)

ALL OTHER SOLID WASTE AND LARGE ITEMS will be charged at $5.00 per cubic yard.
FREE UNLOAD:
Starting July 1, 2008, City of Coleman utility customers are allow ONE FREE UNLOAD PER QUARTER. The free unload is limited to one designated residence only.
Customers must present their City of Coleman utility bill, showing their respective garbage charge, and a picture ID. Quarter breaks are designated as follows:

| April 1 through June 30 |
All loads must be covered with a tarp so that littering does not occur. Loads not appropriately covered will be subject to a $10 fee.
